Have heaps of fun challenging your musical & physical fitness drumming and dancing at once in this fun and funky African inspired dance form, led by Jenny Bloomfield, Moringa Dancers director, and accompanied by live drumming led by Simon Elwell (African Beats NZ)! In this unique style, we play West African stick drums to traditional rhythms and learn dances that incorporate our sticks and some drumming breaks.
All are welcome, no experience necessary, wear comfortable clothes you can move and stretch in, bring a water bottle and come ready to have fun! Drums available for use in class, bookings essential to secure a drum.
For the term, registered and paid in advance, the cost is $100. Casual sessions after the first night of the term are $15.
