Are you a parent of a child with autism or do you work with a child with autism? Do you want to learn skills to support their learning? The Victoria University of Wellington Autism Clinic is hosting this workshop to teach some of the strategies from the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).

Lauren van-Noorden (certified ESDM therapist) will be running this ESDM workshop focusing on hands-on strategies for teaching new skills and reducing unwanted behaviour by:
- Increasing the number of learning opportunities in daily routines and play
- Creating clear cues
- Prompting and rewarding desired behaviours

Tickets for this event are $25 for professionals and $15 for whānau members of children with autism. Places are limited to 35 people.

There will be one additional workshop this term:
- Developing Communication (12th August)

The ESDM is an extremely promising intervention which has been used in over 35 countries worldwide. It is a play-based behavioural therapy that targets a wide range of developmental skills for children under the age of 5 who have, or are suspected to have, autism. ESDM therapy aims to accelerate child learning and teach key developmental skills through fun interactions which are embedded in daily routines and play.
