This event has been POSTPONED due to the forecast of high winds for Saturday evening, which exceed the recommendations for the large movie screen and pose a health and safety risk. A new date will be advertised soon.

Kokomai Creative Festival brings you Films in a Field¸ a drive-in New Zealand Short Film Festival from some of New Zealand’s brightest and best directors. Headlining with 'Two Cars, One Night' by Taika Watiti (Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit, What We Do in the Shadows) which was nominated for an Oscar in 2005. Films in a Field is proud to bring you a New Zealand Short Film Festival that takes us from rural to urban, from coastal to the battlegrounds of war, from humour, to the most poignant issues that face people in everyday life.

Grab your popcorn, fill your car with friends and family and come down to Solway Showgrounds Masterton, for a night under the stars at our drive-in New Zealand Short Film Festival. All films screening are international award winning film, screening at venues such as the Sundance Film Festival, British Film Institute, Berlin Film Festival and Screening: Two Cars, One Night, I’m Going to Mum’s, Nothing Special, Lemming Aid, The Singing Trophy, Whisker, Tama Tu.

Please arrive by the Judds Road entrance to be in place for the 8.30pm screening. Gates open 7.30pm.
A refund will be available if the event is unable to go ahead due to Covid-19 Level restrictions.
