Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

This course, new in 2020, runs on Monday evenings 7 - 9 PM over four weeks starting 24 August 2020.

Have you read about the Cinque Terre? "The Five Lands" is composed of five villages on a rugged portion of coast along the Italian Riveria. It is a region close to June's heart and in this course she will share with you recipes collected both from her travels and from her Italian friends.

June Renwick adores the food of Italy and its many regions. She first travelled to the Cinque Terre in Liguria, Italy, on her best friend's advice about the distinctive, rich, exciting yet simple food in the area...and she wasn't disappointed. In this course, June will share recipes, tips and techniques to create a number of dishes that are local specialties.

In small groups, you'll create a dinner or lunch menu during each class. Recipes will include antipasti di mare, torta della nonna, focaccia, pesto and pansotti. You will be able to savour your efforts or take them home at the end of the lesson.

What to bring: A teatowel and a container for any leftovers. You may also like to bring an apron. The course fee includes all ingredients ($39).

Who should attend? Fans of June Renwick's cooking courses! Those keen to extend their repertoire. Travellers who have enjoyed the food of the Cinque Terre and want to recreate these Ligurian flavours at home.

Our mission is to provide quality affordable and accessible lifelong learning opportunities for our community.
