A short film created in a short period of time. Exploring the outskirts of the physical bubble, even the bubble between yourself and the mind games.

This period has affected us in different ways, maybe it’s heightened areas in your life that have been suppressed? Maybe you haven’t had the time to process anything?

“What does being fluid mean to you?” Using phone calls with friends, our thoughts in illustration, movement and music.

Let us know if you would like to share your response to these times. Email Janghuddle@gmail.com or contact us through the Tempo social media pages.

Trigger warning: Please note that this film touches on themes of mental health.

Thank you to all the artists out there pushing the boundaries and trying new ways to create spaces and connections over this tough time. Thank you to my bubble and for making it through with me and to the friends for the many calls to tell me it's okay to feel "less human" over this time, because we're not "less human". And that my worth doesn't come from what I can or cannot achieve. Thank you to the Tempo team as well!

Cindy is a choreographer, artist, event coordinator and community dance practitioner. Having a Bachelor of Dance Studies (Honours) from The University of Auckland. She has her own collective called Jang Huddle, which uplifts diverse stories through movement and art. “Iron Eyes” at the Basement Theatre in 2018 was her first debut production. Cindy is all about community, multidisciplinary art, collaborations and audience participation. You can see this in her previous works such as Iron Eyes (Basement Theatre), Il Jum Oh (Wellesley studios), Have a Smashing Xmas (First Thursdays), Dancing in Parks (Albert-Eden local board) and Garden of Celebration (Raynham Park).
