Is your fridge bursting at the seams? Are you filling your compost bin quickly? Are your chickens fat? Perhaps you are wasting food.

At this ONLINE educational masterclass, learn lots about what Kiwi’s waste and how we can save money. Plus, lots of other interesting topics like the difference between “Use by” and “Best before” dates, and how much of what we throw out can be composted, or frozen for another day!

What else? You will receive a free pack full of waste minimization products. These will be distributed after the country-wide lockdown is over, so make sure you give us your postal address when prompted after ticket purchase.

Note, you MUST be from Queenstown Lakes District to book tickets and attend this workshop, as it is funded by the local council.

This workshop is suitable for all households, flats, ages, and stages. In fact, everybody should attend!

About Kate:
For over 10 years, Kate Meads has been travelling the country delivering waste minimisation seminars, with topics ranging from cloth nappies, right through to re-usable coffee cups. Kate is extremely passionate about her work and believes that education and the sharing of knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we have in the battle against waste. Kate strongly believes that “If everyone did just one small thing for our environment every single day, we will start to make a difference that will count”.

Kate also prides herself on being “real”. She often jokes with her audiences about the fact that she isn’t perfect, nor does she expect anyone to be. The workshop is a great place to learn what you can do however, and whether it’s big or small, any change in the right direction is a good change.

“I took my 9 year old daughter to a Foodlovers Masterclass last night! We both had a great time! Kate is clearly passionate about reducing waste and shared some astonishing facts and some really helpful tips! Miss 9 loved it! Thanks so much xx.” - Sarah, a recent attendee.

Ticket Info:
The ‘Individual’ Ticket admits 1 person, and you receive 1 gift pack of waste minimization products.

There are limited spaces and packs available.
