Don’t miss this brand new signature uptown event at its awesome Basque Park location. In association with the Uptown Business Association.
Headlining the day is New Zealand's Pluto. Auckland alt-pop crew Pluto recently made a triumphant return with the surprise drop of their new single 'Oh My Lonely', heralding the release of their long-promised fourth studio IV album. Pluto's comeback has certainly made a splash, the video for their hook-packed new single has racked up a jaw-dropping 120,000 views and counting since its launch at the beginning of July. We are so pleased to have them headline this amazing new event in the heart of Auckland city.
Independent singer/songwriter Ed Waaka has been described as one of NZ’s hidden gems. He’s best known for his collaborations with prominent electronic artists – now get into his soul-stirring solo material.
Sojøurn have played alongside acts including Mako Road, Summer Thieves, Lost Tribe Aotearoa, Round Buddah and Sons of Zion. They’ve smashed a bunch of summer festivals with a solid set mixed with drums and electronic fusion, powerful vocals and solid dubby bass lines.
An alternative plunge into RnB, The BackChat combines indie textures in modern pop, referencing the likes of Kimbra and Anderson Paak, with vocal styles similar to alt RnB/neo-soul artists such as Erykah Badu and Ravyn Lenae.
And for some of the freshest talent in Auckland, the beloved Suzy Cato will be leading a line-up of young artists at the very special kids area stage.
