Get To The Point

Get To The Point is a community fair held on a Saturday at the start of November each year in Pleasant Point, South Canterbury, New Zealand. Get To The Point is an opportunity to put our town of Pleasant Point on the map, for local community groups to raise money, and for everyone to have a family fun day.
There is a great range of market stalls, food and coffee vendors, amusement rides, and activities for all ages and interests. Highlights of the day include the Pleasant Point Railway steam engine and rail car rides, classic car show, dog trials, Gymkhana Shears shearing competition, highland dancing competition, Tug 0 War competition, live music, roving entertainer, animal balloonist, magic show, face painting, steam traction engine rides, miniature pony rides, soft archery, bouncy castle, water rollers, bumper boats, helicopter rides, and a weekend escape raffle and $1,000 prize draw at the end of the day. There is no entry fee to the day and children’s activities are free.
