Please join us for our first planting days supporting our Forest Restoration programme! Halo Project has, so far, helped nine rural landowners to develop and partially-fund forest restoration plans for their properties. We have 2700 native trees to plant at three sites, with two planting days this month, and one in September. Come along and learn more about the ecology of the north coast of Dunedin and contribute to the restoration of Dunedin’s landscape.
The Heyward Point site is sloping pasture with a significant remnant of coastal forest. This remnant is significant locally with a high diversity of native plants including many large, mature trees.
Tea/coffee provided; BYO lunch, drink bottle, sturdy footwear and jacket. Please bring a spade and gloves if you have them.
