The day starts with the parade, which begins at 4 pm from York Street, travels along Oxford Street, and finishes by turning into Durham Street.

The Theme

The theme this year is a “Grinchy Christmas”. With it being quite a tumultuous year we thought this would be a great theme .. remembering at the end the Grinch realised.
It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags.
Maybe Christmas (he thought) doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more.

So we have gone for simplicity this year like the Grinch found out, it's not about all the shiny and expensive things, but more about spending some great time with friends and family.

So this is why we are getting you to bring a picnic, or to grab some food from your favourite shops and bring it down to the Levin Adventure Park, and having some fantastic entertainment and activities for the whole family!!

After the Parade the fun continues at the Levin Adventure Park for the Christmas Carnival with live entertainment and an Activity Zone (from 4:45pm).

Hoping you will join us for more celebrations that include:

- 2 live bands - Peanut Slab and Good Thing Going
- MC Dylan Jacobs
- Highly Flammable with their Circus Zone, Stilt Walkers, Big bubbles and fantastic circus fun!
- Giant Slide
- Giant Obstacle Course
- Other Giant outside games

Photo Booth with props (people use their own phones, camera)

All free

Everyone has faced many challenges this year with the COVID pandemic, lockdown, and a national election. So we’re taking inspiration from the famous book by Dr Seuss, and inviting you to enjoy an afternoon where you can cheer on the floats, then come to the Adventure Park where the kids can play and the whole family be entertained with music and free activities. Christmas doesn’t have to be all about gifts – it’s a time to spend with family and friends. So bring a picnic and a blanket, or grab your eats from a nearby shop, and have a fun night with your favourite people!”

The night is finished in spectacular style the countdown with the band and MC and the turning on of the Christmas Lights! See you there!
