I Love Takapuna Summer Days Festival

Takapuna is your ultimate summer destination with the Takapuna Beach Summer Days Festival on the 18th of January at Takapuna Beach Reserve.

This event is free and open to the whole community, so bring your friends, family, and loved ones along and celebrate summer with us.

Starting at 10am, bring the kids over and enjoy a wide variety of family entertainment, including:
- Cherry the Clown
- Jimmy Marvel
- Circus In A Flash performance
- Bouncy castles
- Roving characters from @superfunparties
- POPs games
- Face painting by Imaginaire Entertainment
- Sandy Art NZ
- Three6tee Spin Art

... plus some beach activities including:
- Football games with Takapuna AFC Page
- Games and activities with Harbour Sport
- SUP sessions with GirlsGetOutThereNZ
...and more to be announced!

From 3pm until 7pm, jam with amazing artists as they perform your favourite hits on stage:
- Encore will kick start the afternoon with all your favourite tunes, from The Eagles to Dr Hook to UB40.

Big Ticket will then treat us to all your favourite hits from Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift to Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and The Rolling Stones - with a special vintage twist!

- Alae, stars of the NZ music scene will finish off our day!
Following success with their first EP in 2016 and their debut album in 2018 which rocketed straight to #1 on iTunes, Alae are beginning to make their international mark in the music industry with their brand of indie-pop.

They've played sets at Rhythm and Vines and Homegrown 2019, have been support for the sold-out shows of Angus and Julia Stone, Lake Street Dive, John Butler Trio, James Morrison and Callum Scott - as well as headlining their own tours across NZ and Australia - and we can't wait to have them at this year's Takapuna Beach Summer Days Festival!

Wear your jandals, grab some takeaways from the 150 different hospitality outlets in Takapuna, or the food trucks on site and get ready for a brilliant summers day.

The festival will also include delicious food trucks, free bean bags to relax in and of course our beautiful beach and reserve.
