IL DIVO - Bjorn Aslund and Tempo Dance Festival

IL DIVO stems from an exploration of my queer body and expression, explored in a series of pop art self-portraits. An endeavour to re-imagine and interpret myself and my surroundings with camera, pen and Photoshop while in isolation.

IL DIVO is a series of pop art self-portraits with accompanying text that will be shared on the Tempo Dance Festival Website and social media.

Bjorn Aslund is a multi-disciplinary artist and performer. Graduating from the New Zealand School of Dance in 2019 they have performed around Australasia, most recently developing “Plato’s Atlantis” as part of the Toi Poneke Dance Residency in the 2020 Wellington Fringe Festival and working with the Ballet Collective Aotearoa.
