Then you come along to the free sketchbook exhibition at Riccarton library!

Even if you live in Paris, sketching helps you to see and appreciate your surroundings on a deeper level.

The creative process of design solutions, cartoons, fashion and architecture, it all starts with a sketch.

At the exhibition you can take a look inside sketchbooks collected from artists across Canterbury.
Different types of media – pen and wash, watercolour, line drawings. Subjects could be enchanting and rough characters, a feeling of a place, flowers, poems or thoughts in a moment of time...
