Keeping safe online - half day workshop
There has been a 74% increase in reported cyber incidents in New Zealand in 2020. Not only is it a serious threat with millions of dollars being drained from individuals and business in New Zealand, but marriages and families are under threat with the threats used by criminals trying to extort money.
We have developed an extensive half-day training session, for non-technical people, to explain the threats, help you understand who is behind them and protect yourself, your family and your business from harm.
Learn to identify email phishing, browser and mobile threats, social engineering attacks, voicemail phishing and more.
You will learn:
Types of threats, who is behind them and their motives
What information they are after
How they socially engineer you via email, text or calls
Learn hands-on the red flags to look out for
Learn how to keep yourself, your family and your business safe
The workshop will include hands-on practical training, group discussions and question time. The course runs from 9am to 12:30pm. There are 2 breaks with tea, coffee and snacks provided.
