The JAFA Poetry Slam is back for our very first event of the year! We're running a Cover Slam to kick in the slam season and have some fun!
This is a two round slam with a cut between the first and second round, all of our normal slam rules apply, BUT you will perform a poem written by someone else -- karaoke your favourite poems and perform the s**t out of them! Cash prize for the winner.
Sign up on the door.
Short open mic beforehand.
The slam is 18+ and the open mic is all ages.
Free snacks and hand sanitiser provided.
This is an uncensored event but hate speech will not be tolerated.
We are thrilled to be able to welcome our community together in person and will be following best practices to keep our community safe via the government's guidelines on COVID19. If you are feeling unwell, we ask that you stay home and take care of yourself.
