Wellington Jazz Festival after-party/jam concert, featuring three recording artists with international releases
To round off El Barrio's Festival offerings, Geoff Culverwell heads up a stellar lineup of internationally experienced players, brought together especially for this event from around New Zealand.
Geoff is an international recording artist, a former member of three New Zealand super-groups and featured jazz soloist on over 1500 top band recording sessions. Joining him are Will Martin on the keyboard and Nick Cornish on saxophone, and two fantastic players from the South Island visiting for this festival. In the backline is Paul Dyne, one of New Zealand's most in-demand bassists and drummer Des Mallon, a veteran of dub, roots and reggae world-touring bands.
And if you've been inspired by the five-days of fabulous music, this gig will open up for a jam session.
