Jazz Vespers - ADF20

Conclude your Art Deco Weekend of celebration and fun at Trinity Methodist's Vespers! Vespers contains elements of a concert and a worship service; offering opportunity for reflection through the notes of music and verse. Jazz Vespers uses Jazz Music and other genre to explore spirituality alongside short reflections and prayer.

This music is not only as played at Vespers as performance art, but as a spiritual music. Jazz has many entry points. Entering into the music at any time and in whatever way is a vision for life together in community. Jazz finds its home in this church setting both for those who appreciate jazz for its own sake, but also those who feel its spirituality.

The historic and earthquake-survivor, Trinity Methodist Church, presents this perfect evening of music to see out another wonderful Art Deco Weekend.

At Art Deco 2020, we will enjoy a fun evening of Gershwin songs and music honouring the era. These will be performed by an ensemble group from Four’s Company Performance Choir. These highly experienced performers will offer sets based on the themes of Swing – Fascinating Rhythm – Gershwin in Love. This will be an evening to move your hearts and get your sprits soaring!

Donations are invited at the Vespers to support a local community 'Let the children live” project.
