Concert and album launch in collaboration with the Wellington Jazz Collective and Thick Records NZ, John Rae's Lighthouse was recorded in 2019 and is a homage to the music of Japan.
The evening will feature a quintet that includes some of Aotearoa/New Zealand's finest musicians Michael Barker vibes (The John Butler Trio and Split Enz. Swamp Thing), Ben Wilcock piano (Bella Kalolo, Aaradnha, Louis Baker), Dan Yeabsley sax (The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra, Fat Freddie’s Drop, The Troubles, Jelly Rolls Trio, Twinset), Pat Bleakley bass (The Troubles) and award winning musician and composer John Rae drums.
