Our After School Programs are designed to teach a broad variety of beach and surfing skills over the term as well as giving them the perfect opportunity to make friends outside of school.
Junior Surfers Club
After School Program (7-16yo)
Our Junior Surfers Club runs during terms 1, 2 & 4. Each term we have two classes after school on a Monday and a Wednesday. Each class is for 1.5 hours and each term consists of an eight-week surfing program.
All equipment provided including wetsuits and surfboards or students are given the option to bring their own. Group sizes are limited with a max 1:6 coach to surfer ratio. We will operate other activities should conditions not be suitable for surfing. Appropriate coaching, training and supervision is given at all times.
Cost:
$199 for 8 week program. Note: Surfers can join part program (as apposed to the full 8 weeks), please contact us to join.
Micro Surfers Club
After School Program (4-6yo)
Running during terms 1, 2 & 4, Aotearoa Surf’s Micro Surfers Club is one of a kind! We aim to introduce surfing to kids at a young age, teaching them the basics and ensuring they are having heaps of fun. We have had great success with this program in the past, giving young kids ocean confidence and awareness.
We maintain a strict 1:3 instructor to surfer ratio with the extra assistance of parents either in the water or at the water’s edge. Each class is 45 minutes in duration over an 8-week period. If you have some older children, we run the Micro Surfers Club just before the Junior Surfers Club. All equipment is provided.
