This is a 2 hour art class for children aged 6 up.
Annie focuses on a friendly, fun and social environment for your child to learn how to paint using acrylic paints. Over the course of a few weeks your child will develop their very own painting to a finished standard that they are happy with and take it home to hang on your wall and be proud of their achievements.
The first hour usually focuses on where and how to begin a new painting. The first layers are applied and a few different techniques are practiced in class. This will develop into their chosen theme for their desired painting over the coming weeks.
The second hour is a mental release for your child where they will discover new mediums to work with. This could include air dried and polymer clay for jewelry making or sculptures, mixed media for scrap booking, building fairy houses and more. Your child is guaranteed to bring home something each week they made in this second hour of class.
Annie believes that children should be encouraged to use their imagination and self expression to explore with their hands and to learn how to create what their mind sees.
This is a small class of between 4 and 10 children. Seats are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Each class is only $30 per child which includes all materials. However should you book for a 6 week workshop in advance a $5 discount per week will be given lowering this class to only $25 per child (that’s a saving of $30).
