In early 2015 the Lads on Tour Cabaret series started with a bang in Ōtepoti Dunedin, showcasing a wealth of alternative local talent - from dancers, magicians, and circus performers, to musicians, drag queens, and burlesque artists. Not to mention the odd tap dancer, ballerina, comedian, person hammering nails up their nose, and dancing inflatable shark.
5 years later over 300 performers have taken to the stage in paid roles as part of the Lads on Tour series at 15 venues throughout Dunedin, Oamaru and Christchurch. And now - the weird and wonderful cabaret series hits a huge milestone - we are proud to bring to the stage our biggest and best show yet - it's the 50th ever Lads on Tour Cabaret!
Join us for a night of weird and wonderful entertainment featuring a special line up of Lads on Tour performers old and new from across the motu, including circus, dance, burlesque and comedy acts!
Plus free platters of snacks for audience.
An exhibition of photos from past Lads on Tour Cabarets on display at the gallery next door to Darkroom, ART HOLE.
And live bands playing after the cabaret show, line up to be announced!
Tickets on sale from January 10th with limited $10 early birds available before they move up to $15 GA presales, and $20 door sales.
