Lake Tekapo Alpine Grind: POSTPONED

The Tekapo Alpine Grind is an annual mountain biking event that takes place on the Balmoral Station in the heart of the Mackenzie country in the South Island of New Zealand.

The Balmoral Station is near the towns of Twizel and Lake Tekapo. Nearby Aoraki Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain stands 3753 metres above sea level so there’s a good chance you’ll get to see some awesome alpine views on your adventure…

There are four mountain bike challenges to choose from on the day for individuals and teams of two – four to enjoy including a 1hr, 3hr, 6hr and 9hr multi-lap events. Something for everyone!

Each lap is approx 10km and covers a variety of undulating terrain including 4wd farm tracks, single track, forestry, open paddocks and most importantly totally achievable and challenging for all abilities not forgetting the amazing alpine views you’ll get to enjoy throughout the adventure.
