Facing job loss or uncertainty? Or simply wanting a job, company or career move? Defining, finding and landing a job that excites you is complex in any market, never mind a recession.

Relying on being a competent worker does not make you a skilled job seeker, cv writer or interviewee. There are some basic skills you can learn to get ahead of the crowd. There are also things you can learn and practice to help you manage the stress and uncertainty of job loss or career change.

Join Claire, experienced in recruitment, career guidance and support, to learn these skills.

-Presentation and interview tips and tricks
-Staying positive and motivated despite setbacks
-Strategies for coping with job seeker stress

-Clarity on what role will suit best
-Understanding what is required to be ideal-job-ready
-How to apply for a position
-How to ace the interview
-How to handle setbacks in a touch market/industry

What to bring: Your lunch, your CV, recent letters of application for jobs, any job advertisements that interest you.

Who should attend this course?
Anyone currently looking for work or considering a change of role or even career. This course is suitable for all ages and career stages. The NZ government (via the Tertiary Education Commission) subsidises this course fee for NZ citizens and permanent migrants. To comply with requirements, we collect demographic information from students. You will need to supply evidence of your immigration status. The TEC-subsidised course fee is $28.
