Multi-award winning Mairi Campbell is a pioneering Scottish musician: an improviser, ballad singer, violist and theatre maker. Her stage work is a response to personal stories and cultural concerns, bringing songs and stories to the stage. She extends the boundaries of traditional music, powerfully injecting deep craft, groundedness and spirit to the stage.

In 2008 her voice gained worldwide recognition when her version of Auld Lang Syne was placed in the blockbuster movie ‘Sex and the City’ in 2008.

In 2019 Mairi Campbell founded a new ensemble called the Pendulum band, including her daughter Ada and her band Luna Blu. They create choreographed gigs and played at the Trad Music Awards in November 2019.
Mairi lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.

On this tour, Mairi will be joined by her daughter, Ada.

Ada Francis is a multi instrumentalist and singer from Edinburgh, Scotland. She has lived in Newcastle for the last 4 years and in that time has become part of the thriving music scene becoming involved in a wide range of musical projects. She has released music with contemporary folk trio, The Cusp, (clarsach) vocal trio Luna Blu (voice and guitar) and more recently 5 piece jazz pop band, Lyras (voice and guitar). With these projects she has performed all over the North East and continues to write original music on her own and with her projects.
