Market Day - Festival of the Roses

The free Sunday market is all about browsing and Christmas shopping, eating and relaxing with all-day entertainment and featuring top international street food stalls.

Visitors can sample the crafts, fashion, plants and tasty treats from a range of themed areas. As usual, the market will also feature dedicated children’s activities and acoustic live sets from local bands.

Santa and friends in this year’s Timaru Christmas Parade join in the Festival fun and make their way to Caroline Bay from Stafford Street from 2 pm.

Follow the parade down and you can then enjoy the free family-friendly Rose Festival Market with its activities, food, garden and craft stalls; say hi to the Ballantyne’s Santa and meet his friends and the floats from the parade. Caroline Bay Association rides will be also running and after the parade, on the Sound Shell, come and listen to Santa’s Christmas message.
