Save the date for the Marlborough Multicultural Festival!

The Multicultural Festival embraces cultural diversity and unites the community in the celebration and sharing of a variety of cultural dance, food and performance.

With the move to a bigger location we have the opportunity to grow the festival and will be finishing the event on a high with the nationally acclaimed Black Velvet irish Band. There will be numerous other cultural performances throughout the day - showcasing as many cultures as possible - from Indian dance to Polynesian performance, Kapa Haka to traditional Chinese dance and everything in between!

The festival is also Marlborough's celebration of Race Unity Day - a day which is acknowledged throughout NZ, celebrating our growing diversity.

There will be lots of fun to be had by young and the young at heart - including interactive cultural arts and crafts, inflatables and face painting, all in addition to the main stage.

Food is one thing everyone enjoys, regardless of nationality, race or religion. From rogan josh to sushi and chow mein, the taste may vary but the enjoyment of food knows no boundaries.Get your tastebuds ready for a tour around the world with a smorgasbord of tasty morsels from a diverse range of cultures.

Headline act - Christchurch's legendary Celtic Band Black Velvet - finishing the Festival with a foot stomping rock & reel!

With thanks to our sponsors and supporters Yealands Estate, Marlborough District Council, More FM and Creative Communities.
