We are an active club with members participating in field trips, club meetings, sub-group meetings including silversmithing and microscope work, workshop activities, displays and fun social events. Plus we have a Kid's Club section.
We also hold occasional local and national shows.
Our aim is to foster an interest in and the study of geology and lapidary (jewellery and carving). Our main fundraising activity is the sales table where we sell rock, mineral, crystal and fossil specimens, as well as jewellery and other worked items that our members have made.
Our monthly meetings keep members informed of upcoming events, we have a couple of fun competitions, a small raffle, and have a different spotlight item each month.
The main part of the meeting is an educational segment or a guest speaker covering various topics within our hobby.
You are most welcome to come and check out our clubrooms at Brayshaw Park and attend our meetings. Information and club programmes are available upon request.
The Clubrooms are open every Sunday and Wednesday mornings. (Unless they fall on Xmas day or Easter).
We also have a Facebook page.
