Musician Matiu Te Huki channels his native Māori spirit and tradition into deep funky reggae grooves-weaving in traditional Māori rhythms. Matiu, a master ‘looper’, creates enormous reggae baselines and beats, soulful roots music with a strong Māori flavour, using haka, chants and traditional Māori movements. electro-grooves, deep, beautifully crafted bass lines, funky rhythms and magical melodies held up by a pillar of Pacific passion and technical precision.
