Matsui Japanese Whisky Tasting

The Jim Murray Whisky Bible 2020 approved Matsui Sakura Cask and others are going to be opened for one night only!

We’ve got Leon McDonnell and Shuhei Matsusaka from Matsui Whisky Distillery coming up to Auckland for one night only and we are lucky enough to be hosting them and tasting through the delicious Matsui whisky range.

Matsui whisky's Kurayoshi Distillery is famously placed in the foothills of Mount Daisen where they use pure water to craft amazing whiskies. Famed for their use of indigenous woods for their barrels including Mizunara and Sakura - the latter being Jim Murray's pick for the 2020 Whisky Bible for Best Multi Cask Japanese Malt Whisky.

We will be tasting through, more or less, their whole range including:
Kurayoshi Pure Malt, Kurayoshi 8, 12 and 18 Year Olds, the Matsui Sakura and Mizunara cask aged whiskies and the Matsui "The Peated" whisky.
