Join Pelorus Tours and DOC for a memorable trip through the beautiful Pelorus Sound and to Te Pakeka/Maud Island.
Visit a mussel farm, nesting Shags and the Gannet colony at Waimaru (weather permitting).
On Maud Island you will be shown some endangered wildlife, many not seen elsewhere, which may include skinks, geckos, the Maud Isand frog, giant snails, rare insects and the giant Cook Strait weta. There will be a guided 40 min walk (return) along a relatively level old farm track, to a WW2 gun emplacement.
Four dates available: 5th, 12th, 25th, and 26th January.
