Calling all mamas! Let’s be real here – motherhood can be stressful and hard. Taking care of your family can be all encompassing and all consuming. We are nearly halfway through 2020 and what a year it has been. You may be completely drained and depleted from doing everything, and being everything to everyone. It's time to take care of yourself first, because as the saying goes, "You cannot pour from an empty cup".

This Mini Mum Retreat is designed for busy mums to rest, recharge and rejuvenate. You will learn mindfulness strategies to feel less stressed and overwhelmed, and learn how to feel more calm and connected with yourself and your family. A nourishing afternoon tea with smoothie bowls and herbal teas will be provided. Finally, unwind with a gentle yin and yoga nidra session. It'll provide complete rest for both your mind and body. No yoga experience required.

This retreat is designed for all mums with children of all ages. However, you need to have been cleared for exercise from a health professional to participate in the restorative yoga session (normally 6 weeks postpartum for a normal delivery and 8 weeks for a c-section).

Take the time to invest and nurture in yourself. Not only will you reap the rewards but your family will too. $5 of every ticket will go towards Perinatal Anxiety Depression Aotearoa (PADA) - a charity that promotes maternal mental health.

Only very limited spaces available so get your ticket today!

Dr Missy Wolfman will be running the mindfulness session of the retreat. She is a Clinical Psychologist and a mother of twin girls. Through her business, Empowermums, she has helped dozens of mothers feel less alone, stressed and overwhelmed. She is passionate about supporting and teaching mums strategies and skills that will help them thrive in their mothering journey. She has taught mindfulness to kids, teenagers, and adults both individually and in groups. Check out www.empowermums.co.nz or find her on Facebook @EmpowerMumsNZ

Greer Taffard will be teaching our beautiful and restorative yin yoga and yoga nidra session. She is a mum of three children and believes yoga practice is esential for nourishing and energizing herself. Greer is passionate about sharing these tools with other mums.
