Octavius is a small choir of 8 - 10 voices, comprised of experienced, talented singers from Napier and Havelock North directed by Anthony Tattersall. Formed in 2017, Octavius has performed an annual series of concerts to an ever-growing audience of enthusiastic supporters. This year, Octavius is proud to present a celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. The program for this concert will feature a selection of Beethoven's choral masterpieces sung by the ten-voice Octavius choir and also featuring solos by some of the choir members. The concert will be presented in the Waiapu Cathedral in Napier, where the beautiful interior and acoustic properties will be a fitting setting for this glorious music. The mighty cathedral organ will also be utilised to accompany some of the choral works.
