We love hosting friends from out of town, especially when they bring a bottle or two!

Our friends from Mt Difficulty are taking over Te Kairanga on October 31 with their world-famous Central Otago wines and a lunch menu of signature dishes from the Mt Difficulty Restaurant, all hosted by Mt Difficulty Chief Winemaker Matt Dicey.

So if you’re not heading south anytime soon, let us bring the Mt Difficulty experience to your own backyard!

The culinary talent of Wharekauhau Country Estate will be serving three signature courses from the Mt Difficulty Restaurant including Pinot Noir braised beef short rib and Vanilla pannacotta with orchard pears poached in Petrea Riesling. Choose the full three courses with wine pairings or dine à la carte.

Delve deeper into the wines of one of Central Otago’s most respected wineries with a masterclass hosted by the winemaker himself. Discover New Zealand’s other famous Pinot region with two sessions hosted by Matt at 11.30 and 2.30. Or catch him behind the bar for a yarn and a taste throughout the day, he’ll be opening some of his favourite Mt Difficulty drops and sharing the stories behind them.

Lunch and tastings will be available from 11 am-3 pm. Limited wine available so bookings are recommended.

Lunch:
3 courses $60pp or dishes can be ordered separately. Optional wine pairing available.
To book your spot for lunch or a masterclass please email us your group size and preferred time and we will be in touch to confirm: tk.cellardoor@foleywines.co.nz

Masterclasses with Matt Dicey:
Two sessions at 11:30am and 2:30pm
We have a very limited capacity for these two classes, so please make sure you book in early for these.
