NCMA’s Celebration Series is back for 2020.
Celebrating the joy of music with 3 special concerts in March, April and May. Audience members will be able to relax and enjoy performances featuring wonderful local, national and international musicians.
The third and final concert in the Celebration Series is performed by piano, flute and clarinet trio, Trio Éclat.
Trio Éclat are an enthusiastic group of musicians committed to performing a new and existing repertoire for wind trio.
Rowan Meade is a masters graduate in performance clarinet with highest honours from the Sibelius Academy of Music in Helsinki, Finland. He was the only clarinetist to be accepted into the Sibelius Academy Masters Programme for Performance Clarinet in 2010.
Monica Chang is a well-known pianist and teacher formerly from the Waikato region. She completed her Masters of Music at the University of Waikato, specialising in performance piano, principally under the tutelage of Katherine Austin. She subsequently studied under Rae de Lisle at the University of Auckland.
Christine Kim is a dynamic flautist who successfully completed her Advanced Studies with Professor Mirjam Nastasi at Freiburg Musikhochschule in Germany. She also holds a Bachelor of Music First Class Honours and Master of Music under the tutelage of Professor Uwe Grodd at the University of Auckland School of Music.
