Free Entry to Nga Manu for Queen's Birthday Weekend

Pack a picnic and bring your little kings and queens to Nga Manu Nature Reserve on Queen’s Birthday weekend - Sat 30 May to Mon 1 June. In celebration of the first public holiday out of lockdown we are offering you all free entry.

There is no need to book ahead, but you will need to fill out our contact tracing register on entry into the Reserve and observe social distancing from other bubbles once inside the Reserve.

Our 14 hectare Reserve preserves one of the largest remnants of coastal lowland swamp forest on the Kapiti Coast and provides a haven for native birds. Meet kākā, kākāriki, kiwi, scaup, whio and kea in our walk-through aviaries and nocturnal house and feed the waterfowl.
