NZTrio – violin, cello & piano.
Described as a ‘national treasure’, the NZTrio have recently appointed two very accomplished new players to complete their line-up, following an international search: violinist Amalia Hall and pianist Somi Kim.
This is an exciting opportunity to hear this highly-valued ensemble re-emerge in a new incarnation.
Between masterworks by Beethoven and Ravel, the trio will play Greek-Canadian Kriztos Hatzis’ nostalgic, beautiful ‘Old Photographs’ and Sri Lankan-Canadian Dinuk Wijeratene’s sinuous, evocative ‘Love Triangle’.
