Migrante Te Papaioea-Palmerston North ( a group of Filipino migrants and Kiwis ) is hosting an International Women’s Day Celebration on March 8, 2020 in support of the One Billion Rising campaign – a global campaign to end violence against women and children.

You are cordially invited. Dance with us.

One Billion Rising is a global movement that takes its name from the fact that at least 1 in 3 women will be assaulted in their lifetime – that is, at least one billion people living on the planet today suffer against a rising tide of fear and violence.

We are calling you to rise up! On Women's day and raise the vibration! Let’s do what we can; that is, we can dance, we can speak, we can get together and rise. Let us inspire you, let the women of the world see that they matter.

We are going to learn a few steps to “Break the Chain” - and dance together.

Please bring your own bottled water, sunscreen, snacks, hat and small towel and wear something that can protect you from the heat of the sun. Make sure to have your lunch before heading to the event. Please ensure health and safety at all times - there is ongoing construction along the road beside The Cooperative Bank up to the Coffee Club.

Please support us by inviting your members, family, relatives, friends, colleagues to join this worthwhile event and if you would like to sing or dance or volunteer in any other ways please get in touch.
