An Onsen Hot Pools experience is one of the must do's of any getaway to Queenstown. It's one of life's small delights that can be enjoyed with friends in one of the district's most scenic spots. This year, we have two pool types on offer. For those guests familiar with the Onsen Hot Pools' facilities, the Indoor Pools are the exclusive pools we have traditionally had, and we now offer Outdoor Pools, a new on-site development where guests have exclusive use of the pool. These pools will be completely outdoor, surrounded by a Japanese garden, but will only be available in 2020.
Onsen Hot Pools is located high on a cliffside overlooking the magnificent Shotover River canyon, providing views over breathtaking alpine scenery and the perfect vantage point to watch the Shotover Jet jetboats on the river below.
Onsen Hot Pools are hot and steamy on snowy days, warm and sheltered on rainy days, cool and shady on sunny days, and simply magical in the evenings! Each pool room can accommodate up to four adults and are perfect for individuals, couples, families and friends.
*All bookings will include 60 minutes to soak and relax in nature while you enjoy a complimentary drink and snack.
There is a complementary transfer to and from "The Station" to Onsen. You will be emailed closer to the time to confirm your transfer.
