Open Movement Workshop: Space to Fail

For ages 13+

As part of the recently launched international process based choreography residency project Space to Fail come and join Artists Alexa Wilson (NZ) Alice Weber (AUS) and Vanessa Goodman and Ileanna Cheladyn as they each share a brief introduction to their individual processes of practice.

You will have the chance to hear briefly from each of the four artists and then be guided through a movement workshop led by and relating to each artists specific practice around ideas of being in a ‘space to fail’ where the process is to the forefront, not the end product.

Experience in contemporary dance is advantageous but so is a simple interest or curiosity in contemporary dance so come along whatever your experience and spend some time with these artists.

This project launched in Vancouver in November 2019 as a partnership between Hyde Productions (NZ) Dance Centre (CAN) and Critical Path (AUS). Bring clothes that you are comfortable moving in and something to drink and drink.
