Open Play Street

Colombo Street will be closed to traffic between Lichfield and Hereford for an Open Play Street, and the whole area alive with awesome, free activities for all ages - music, yoga with Lululemon, dance performance (Molly Brown & Trio), choir performances, Pulzar FM MC and DJs, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, chalk art, Elements nature based play, skipping ropes, Smoothie Bikes, Slow Bicycle Races, and comfy furniture if you just want to sit back, watch the fun and soak in the vibes!

This event aims to celebrate our central city and support businesses by encouraging the community into town and letting them experience this section of Colombo Street in a different way.

The Engineering NZ Transportation Group in conjunction with the NZ Institute of Landscape Architects are hosting this Open Play Street, with the street will be open for people to take part in fun activities free from traffic.
