This small-group Discovery Day Trip is timed to enjoy the spectacular cherry tree blossoms that Palmerston North is renowned for in Spring.
We'll stop along the way for morning tea at the charming Shannon Railway Station Museum.
Once in Palmerston North, Thermostat Gallery's owner will host us at a temporary exhibition by celebrated sculptor Anton Parsons. This is followed by your choice of shopping in the Square or a visit to Te Manawa Museum.
Lunch is at one of Manawatu's top eating spots - Hokowhitu Cafe - which is on the Manawatu Golf Course, alongside Centennial Lagoon.
After lunch, we'll wander among the beautiful blossoms in the Victoria Esplanade Palmerston North (nature permitting!), followed by an opportunity to explore the pedestrian bridge over the Manawatu River that forms part of He Ara Kotahi.
The price includes transport, morning tea and entry fees. Lunch is at guests' own expense (a range of cabinet and menu food is offered).
Pick up points: From 9.00 a.m. with return at approximately 4.30 p.m. There are pick up points in Paekakariki, Paraparaumu, Waikanae and Otaki.
