A intensive two day course, following on from the 7 week beginners course.
The focus of the first day will be the fitted bodice block, which is the basis of so many designs, from tops and shirts to dresses and jackets. After drafting a standard size, students will develop their own size and create a toile, and then will explore dart manipulation and other adaptations.
As the course progresses we will look to use our five blocks to create different styles and add more options to our skill set. Options will include different sleeves, skirt styles, design lines, pockets and looking at styles individual students wish to develop...
Participants must have completed the beginner pattern making course with Jo. For participants that have prior experience or those who have completed courses elsewhere, please contact our office to arrange to speak with Jo to discuss your skill set before enrolling to ensure this course is suitable for you.
