Pop Up Penguins at Days of Ice

The Pop Up Penguins project, run by Wild in Art in partnership with Harcourts, will see 120 individually decorated penguin sculptures located all over the city and surrounding towns for nine weeks. The art trail will be launched on our streets on 28 November 2020. The Commodore Hotel has sponsored a penguin on the trail, designed by Ira Mitchell, with an Antarctic theme. Ira will be painting this penguin in Tūranga from Thursday 8th October to Sunday 11th October as part of the Days of Ice festival.
