Some of Invercargill's most prestigious private homes will once again be on show for one day only as part of the Ray White Home and Garden Invercargill Tour in support of the Ronald McDonald Family Room Southland Hospital.
Set down for Saturday 29 February 2020, locals will be able to view an eclectic mix of homes. An amazing million dollar mansion, a much-anticipated church conversion, to a funky new build, to name just a few. Approximately 10 of Invercargill's most prestigious private homes form the tour.

In 2014, Ray White along with Kids South hosted the sold-out first home and garden tour which raised over $50,000 for the then newly created Ronald McDonald Family Room, Southland Hospital.
Event coordinator Jackie McKenna from Ray White says the last tour was amazing and the demand on social media to hold it again has been so high.
“It’s been 5 years but people are still asking when we are doing it again. The timing is right, and we believe we can up the ante and not only improve on the last tour but also raise much-needed funds for this impressive charity that helps Southlanders when they really need it the most.”

She says locals will really love these hand-picked homes we’ve come up with.
“These are the homes that you’ve heard about - the ones with that WOW factor, the ones you’ve gone past and wondered - man, I wish I could just take a peek in there and see what it’s like.”
She said using that as their fundamental rule, they went out and asked homeowners if they wanted to be apart of the tour.
“We were blown away with the response. It was so positive. Many of the homeowners remembered the last tour and jumped at the chance. These people are truly the heroes of the piece.”
Ms McKenna said the main drawcard that got owners interested was they realised we were doing this to support a really worthwhile community cause - The Ronald McDonald Family Room, Southland Hospital in Invercargill.”
“All profits raised from the day go back to the family room and helping Southland families. It means kids getting care at the Southland Hospital get to have their families around them when they need them the most. This event is all about raising funds to help run the family room and the more tickets we sell, the more we can help out! Last time we raised $50,000, this time we hope to smash that!”

Tickets go on sale mid-November. In 2014 tickets sold out very quickly and many people missed out.
Due to the anticipated high demand, organisers have tweaked the event and there will be more tickets for sale at this tour.

Due to the nature of the event, it is an Adult only event, children are not permitted.
