In association with Dunedin Comedy, Remarkably Funny presents Otago Raw Comedy Quest 2020. Heat 2 will be in Wānaka, with 6-8 local amateur comedians performing their best material, competing for a place in the semi-final in Queenstown on March 3rd.
The Raw Comedy Quest is NZ's premier competition for amateur comedians. This year, the competition will have a stand-alone Otago leg for the first time,* with heats in Dunedin, Queenstown and Wānaka. Southern Lakes comedians will be competing for a spot in the Otago finals in Dunedin, with the Otago winner going on to the national finals in Auckland.
This heat will be MCed by US import Jonathan Falconer, who proudly identifies as the world's dumbest doctor, with material inspired by a cynically optimistic view on life. Doors open 8pm, show starts 8:30 sharp. We recommend getting there early to get a good spot.
