Rhomboid is an alternative funk trio fronted by Ari Freeman, deputy Wizard of Christchurch on electric guitar and vocals The songs and music are based around magical themes drawing from funk, 60's psychedelia, alternative rock and Jazz. Interwoven with Ari's guitar parts are the unique talents of Mike Fudakowski who plays a 10 string bass, a unique instrument which allows him to hold down bass parts, chords and melody simultaneously.
Doug Brush, an ex-Chicago session musician completes the trio on drums with his deep knowledge of world music, time and groove.
Dylan Hawes aka Sid Wanderer is 26 years into a lifetimes work of exploring the realms of deep dub and trance via his magic strings and digital effects honing his skills on the streets of Melbourne with sometimes playing up to ten hours a day has forged a sound as unique as the spirit behind it.
