To raise money for Loud Shirt Day 2020, we're holding a 24-hour row on a rowing machine.
Wear a loud shirt - all are welcome at any time to show your support.

On Saturday, we'll have a BBQ supported by Meaters of Marlborough Ltd, bouncy castle supported by Mitre 10 New Zealand and a silent auction - along with awesome spot prizes. Olympic gold medalist Joseph Sullivan will take his turn on the machine, as well as volunteers from across the region. All money raised will go towards Loud Shirt Day 2020 - a charity that supports children and adults with hearing loss have opportunities to listen and communicate.

Incredible auction prizes have been donated by local businesses - including provincial rugby jerseys, an Olympic rowing uniform, wine, vouchers, art, experiences and much more. Come along and place a bid for a good cause.

Every donation helps children, young people and adults with hearing loss be able to listen and speak and live LOUD like us!

The inspiration for this fundraising event comes from Owen.

He was born profoundly deaf in both ears, and had surgery just before he was 6 months old for cochlear implants.. enabling him into the world of sound.

Owen is now over 2 and absolutely thriving! His speech is age appropriate and his listening skills are even advanced! Every day he continues to amaze us with new words and phrases he has learnt from us and others around him.

We will be forever grateful for modern technology allowing Owen to be part of the hearing world like us. We know that nothing will stop him now from achieving any goal he may have and we can't wait to watch him soar.

Being on this journey, that's far from over, we want nothing more than to help raise money for others, to be given the same amazing technology Owen has had

If you can't make the event but would like to donate go to Loud Shirt Day website.
