Sanctuary Open Day

Meet New Zealand's own Bug Man, Rudd Kleinpaste, explore the bush tracks, bring a picnic. There will be guided tours, storytelling, native plants for sale, treasure hunts, and delicious food and drink options. Entry to the Sanctuary is free on this day.

The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary is the largest fenced haven for endangered plants and creatures in the South Island. Close to Nelson city but hidden away up the Brook Valley, this is a great opportunity to visit us and find out about a major community conservation project going on in your own neighbourhood.
