Students will get to explore this great artisan casting technique that has been used for thousands of years. It is a great way to create small decorative objects or jewellery pieces.
This is an amazing introduction to the technique of sand casting! Students will carve a ring from jewellers wax and learn to use the casting sand to create a mould, then melt and pour silver into it to make a wearable ring.
Course fees include consumables but not your final metal costs. Students can expect to use $20 - $30 worth of silver.
