Artist Maya Carmody provides an introduction to silkscreen printing for adults. You will develop your skills in the art of stencil screen printing to create your very own suffragist slogan, and print this onto a reusable cotton tote bag just in time to carry it stridently on International Women’s Day.
This programme celebrates the Suffrage in Stitches Exhibition at Wellington Museum and gives you the opportunity to share a message loud and clear.
Cost $20 per person includes all materials, afternoon tea and a mini-tour of the Suffrage and Stitches exhibition.
Cotton tote bags are provided, however, if you would prefer to bring along a white cotton t-shirt you are welcome to print onto that instead.
